It should be one or the other. Making it up as you go along changes everything ! 4th in category today must give me well over 200 points !! 😛

15. Road Race Trophies (Senior and Junior)
Senior and junior riders (categories are as defined by the B.C.F.) finishing in positions 1 to 12 to receive points in
the following manner; 12 for first position down to 1 for twelfth position, three points are also given for finishing in
an event, therefore a rider finishing first receives 15 points while a rider finishing twelfth gets 4 points. This points
system applies to juniors under 18 years of age and to seniors.
Races run under the rules of the BCF, TLI and LVRC to count equally.
Re counting RR Positions and Points, the above is from the club rules my interpretation is quite clear "Points are counted" as your position in the race 1st = 15 points 12th - 4 as regards your category points are not awarded for this so riders should count your points from your position in the race and not category
